Mount Airy Lumber Co. has been a family owned business since it began in 1948. Lloyd “Jimmy” Schneider began with a small, low production saw mill with only a few employees.
Today, Fred, 2nd generation, and Greg, 3rd generation, operate the business. Daniel, 4th generation, is employed full-time along with over 20 dedicated and loyal employees.

In addition to a number of other crops, Flowers by Bauers & Greenhouses grows a variety of snapdragons year round in our greenhouses located in the rolling hills of rural northern Maryland.
